The Abstract Mentor Programme is targeted at less experienced and early-career abstract submitters who plan to submit an abstract to the AIDS or IAS conferences. Introduced at the 15th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2004), the objective of the programme is to help less experienced submitters improve the quality of their abstract writing.
AMP mentors enable young or less experienced abstract submitters to improve their writing by answering questions on practical issues, such as formal requirements on abstract writing and on the quality of the data collected. The feedback will guide the abstract submitters through edits and improvements to the abstract before they submit it to the conference for review. Mentors must commit to reviewing at least 1 and up to 4 abstracts. Feedback must be sent within 5 working days.
For IAS 2017, 145 mentors provided feedback on 204 abstracts and enabled 29 authors to present their research at the conference.
The AMP opens on 26 November 2018 and closes 7 January 2019.
Mentors can sign-up from 29 October 2018.Sign-up today to become a mentor >>
